March 1st, 2015 was the night I turned my living room into a tiny venue of its own. It was filled with some of my very favorite people. People of creativity and art. People who feel like home. We listened to a version of Nick Foster that very few have heard before. Stripped down to cello, pedal-steel, guitar, and voice, he produced a sound that broke everyone's heart in the room. Nyna Nelson and Trevor Tunison of Fort Vine dazzled. I couldn't help but smile while listening to their lyrics, melodies, and goose bumpy harmonies. Their songs were a reminder that music truly is happiness. I was honored to share my dining room with them.
